The healthcare industry is growing more than any other industry in America, thus creating a great demand for qualified Medical Assistants, who work at hospitals, clinics, community centers, schools and at sports facilities, recreation facilities, helping the licensed physicians, chiropractors, nurses, therapists and other health care professionals.

These special programs are designed for unlicensed foreign qualified medical doctors for integration into the American healthcare industry.The goal of this dual purpose program is to train FMGs to manage a clinic or medical office and at the same time re-train in, or review basic sciences to help pass theUnited States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE).If you are interested in teaching, DII offers several courses to help you become Teaching Assistant or a Substitute Teacher for Science.

All programs, including Continuing Education programs are available on-line.Labs & Clinical Training however must be completed at the school and/or at designated facility. Credits earned can be transferred for training in many other professions e.g. Business, Health Care, Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences or Language & Cultures. New classes start in January, April, July and October.  Accelerated programs, credits for previous studies, scholarships, student loans and easy monthly payment facilities are available. Additional, non-credit courses, can be had for $5.00 per hour, based on availability. Please refer to DII school catalog or contact the Registrar for more information.

The 8-hours CPR & First Aid course is mandatory
