Teacher of Foreign Languages

Font Size:

Teachers of foreign languages have always been in demand, not only because the United States has become a ‘Nation-of-Nations’ but also because of the explosive growth of the multinational corporation, burgeoning world trade and our needs to understand people from around the world.

The Multicultural Council of America, an umbrella organization of various ethno-cultural groups, in conjunction with the Dominican International Institute is offering this opportunity for the natives as well as Americans who are fluent in a foreign language to explore the field of becoming a Certified Foreign Language Teacher.

The teacher is the key figure in the language course. It is the teacher who sets the tone for the learning activities.  We believe, it is the attitude of foreign language teacher that the students appreciate & benefit much more, than the fluency or even being a native-speaker. The curriculum provides you with a wide range of academic programs to learn methodologies about teaching foreign languages & cultures.

All programs, including Continuing Education programs are available on-line. Credits earned can be transferred for training in many other professions e.g. Business, Health Care, Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences or Language & Cultures. New classes start in January, April, July and October.  Accelerated programs, credits for previous studies, scholarships, student loans and easy monthly payment facilities are available. Additional, non-credit courses, can be had for $5.00 per hour, based on availability. Please refer to DII school catalog or contact the Registrar for more information.
