Translator & Interpreter Training

Font Size:

With the significant change in the demography during the last two decades, the United States has become a true ‘Nation of Nations’, with hundreds of different languages and cultures, the need for qualified and certified Translators & Interpreters has increased significantly.Translators & Interpreters play a vital role in our communities, the school system, legal system, immigration office, homeland security and health care system.  The demand is much higher than availability of proficient translators and interpreters.

Dominican International Institute has designed two courses to help ease the shortage of qualified translators & Interpreter. Our Certificate program is designed for those who are already in the translation & interpretation profession or feel qualified to get into this profession but need additional training and certification. The longer program is for those who would like to get into this lucrative profession.

All programs, including Continuing Education programs are available on-line. Credits earned can be transferred for training in many other professions e.g. Business, Health Care, Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences or Language & Cultures. New classes start in January, April, July and October.  Accelerated programs, credits for previous studies, scholarships, student loans and easy monthly payment facilities are available. Additional, non-credit courses, can be had for $5.00 per hour, based on availability. Please refer to DII school catalog or contact the Registrar for more information.
